I love an eggy snack and will always be partial to a devilled egg even if retro things become uncool 🙂 And I’m still searching for the perfect way to peel a bloody egg! I think you’re right on the aged thing, that tends to help. All the other magic tricks – no luck so far! x

These sound delicious – I’m a huge fan of eggs and I think these would make lush little canapés this summer! Peeling eggs can be such a faff, it’s all about getting on the right side of that thin membrane under shell!

I actually had student holiday job in an egg farm shelling hard boiled eggs all day. They went through a cracker and you could just pull the shells off. Put me off eggs for years after.

Lovely twist on a classic recipe – I adore devilled eggs now.

You know, I don’t think I’ve ever actually had a devilled egg! They do look tasty though, particularly with the truffle oil and smoked salt; I really should give them a try!
